Happy Easter!

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Happy Easter.

It's the 2nd day of half term; yesterday was a perfect chillout day for me and Brandon and was absolutely lovely.

We already have plans for a few days in the holidays; including a car show with the in-laws, a visit to Kent Life with my best friend, Brandon's Godmother, Helen and visiting my parents in their new house down in Stodmarsh, near Canterbury.

Matt now has 4 days off so it's time to chill and have some family time.

I'll update when I can.

Caffeine in my veins

It's one of the mornings that I don't like. Matt is out early to a client so it ultimately means that I am on the morning school run. Usually Matt drops Brandon at breakfast club on his way to work but, every so often, this happens.

So it is currently 7:20am. Brandon is watching videos on his iPad and I am writing this, with my 2nd cup of coffee in 20 minutes sat next to me.

Whoever said I would become a morning person once I had Brandon lied...the only difference is now I have a child to witness the slow change from snarling Neanderthal to "Mummy" after several cups of coffee and excellent application of my face for the day.

I am, at least, thankful that today is the last day of the term before almost 3 weeks of holiday for Easter.

Well, until next time, have a cup of caffeine on me ☕️

I Have Returned

*Creeps in rather sheepishly*

Well, hello readers.  It's been, urm, a little while hasn't it? I can't even give you excuses as to why I've not blogged in so long. I read through my ramblings last night as a link came up on my TimeHop, and I deiced that I would try and restart my Mummy/Wife (yes, I'm now married) side of things.

I guess the first thing I should do is update you as much as possible...but first, go and get yourself a cup of tea & some biscuits or a bottle of wine if you prefer.

1) Matt and I are now married. We married on 16th July 2011, so it's been nearly 4 years (4 YEARS?!). I really don't know where that time has gone. I don't remember much about the day as it went so fast! But it was beautiful and exactly as we wanted it, with close friends and family. I do however remember that, during the service, when Matt and I were saying our vows, a then 4 year old Brandon put his Order of Service on his head, turned round to the congregation and said "Urgh, this is boring. I need a drink!". Needless to say, that made everyone laugh, including us and the lovely Vicar, Chris.

2) Brandon is now approaching 8 years old! I thought I had problems the last time I wrote with how fast the time was going...Ha! The Easter Holidays start in 2 days, then he is entering his final term in Year 3 of School! I'm gobsmacked. It really is going far too fast for my liking.

3) I now have 5 Doggles (can anyone else hear the Crazy Dog Lady Sirens?). They are all Chinese Crested. I still have Sox, Sammy and Suki, but now have Logan and Minx too. Logan is a true hairless and is a big lad, and he knows it! He does try and throw his weight around, even after 3 years of being here. He's still trying to be top dog, so can be a bit of a liability at times, but he is incredibly sweet and proper Mummy's boy! Then there is Minx. She was going to be called Angel...that was until I got her home and her true colours came out. She is no angel. She is a little hell beast lol. I've had her since she was 16 weeks old, and she is now 2 and a half. She dotes on Matt, and liked to beat him up daily.

4) I still only have 1 Child, Brandon. It would seem that I am not destined to carry another Child. I am now up to 5 miscarriages and 1 cervical ectopic pregnancy. I have also been told that I have a bicornuate uterus, which, basically, means that my womb is, I guess "prolapsed" in a way (that's the easiest way to describe it). I could potentially carry a baby but I am putting myself and the fetus at risk and, depending on the severity of the prolapse, it could halve the area that the baby has to grow, which could lead to abnormalities in growth, etc. I'm still going through the motions of seeing a Specialist, so I guess it's just a waiting game. Doesn't mean we won't have fun practicing in the mean time though.

5) I now work for myself as a Makeup Artist. I decided to set up my own business as a Makeup Artist when Brandon started school. It's going pretty well and, for the most part, tends to keep me occupied and out of trouble.  I won't really talk much about work on here though, as that is a separate set of ramblings.  If you're interested in that though I can be found over on Facebook, on my Official Website or on YouTube

6) You remember I used to say I was tired a lot, and ached? Well in 2012 I was finally diagnosed with a set of illnesses, rather than having my weight blamed for everything. I have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Joint Hypermobility and Polymyalgia Rheumatica (Don't try saying them if you've had a few glasses of wine!). It basically means I'm tired/worn out all the time, sleep isn't refreshing and I'm in a world of pain every day. It is managed through medication, so I tend to just try and get on with it, but I do have bad days known as "flares" when things just go a little crazy and it hurts to breathe, let alone anything else.
I have been losing weight (deliberately) which has helped with some of the joint pain, and I will continue to do so as I do feel better in myself, as well as looking better too.

I think that's pretty much it as far as updates are concerned, and I promise I will try to update more regularly than every 3 years! I'll try and find that humorous streak that I used to write with too, as reading through my earlier ramblings did make me chuckle from time to time. But, for now, I'll attach some photos (if I can actually remember how to work this thing) of the wedding and updated pics of Brandon and, if I can find them, pics of the Doggles.

Minx - Butter wouldn't!
